A few hours after Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede tendered an apology to May Yul-Edochie, estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, after she claimed on the Honest Bunch podcast hosted by radio personality Nedu, that Yul Edochie had done nothing wrong by marrying a second wife, the actress has in a series of call-out posts, accused podcast host Nedu of setting her up for drags. Yvonne Jegede accused the media personality of being so evil that he did not promote the movie she had originally gone on his podcast.

In response to Yvonne's accusations, Nedu's management team in a press release emphasized that the actress's appearance on the podcast was a paid one and a publicity appearance. The team also affirmed that Yvonne Jegede had been under no pressure whatsoever to make any statement on the podcast as neither Nedu nor the producers of the podcast is responsible for personal thoughts and positions held by Yvonne.
