12 days after tying the knot, an Indonesian groom made the discovery that his "bride" was in actual, a man. According to reports, the 26 year old man identified simply as AK, had met Adinda Kanza, also 26, on Instagram in 2023 and the pair forged a relationship for a year after hitting it off online. The couple decided to get married on 12 April 2024 and opted for a small ceremony at AK's home after Adinda told him that she no longer had any family and on the wedding night, Adinda refused to have sexual relations with her husband by claiming to have been menstruating and made up further excuses for days afterwards. The frustrated husband grew suspicious and twelve days after the wedding, he secretly tracked down his wife's former home address where he discov that her parents were alive and well. AK  also received shocking news for his hitherto unknown in-laws who informed that his "wife" was actually a man(real name ESH Pelaku) who became a crossdresser in 2020. They also said they didn't know that their son was in a relationship, let alone married.

ESH was  arrested shortly after the discovery of his deceit and the Indonesian police claimed that told them he married AK to steal his family's assets, The police further revealed that the arrested Adinda behaved like a woman and had a female-sounding voice, adding: 'If you look at their wedding photos, Adinda looks exactly like a real woman. He  also has a gentle voice and tone, so there was no suspicion at all about him being a woman.''
