South African singer Ndu Browns, one half of the award-winning duo Blaq Diamond, has released uBuhleBakho, his debut solo single.

The song has drawn wide attention as it marks his first individual project since he and fellow group member Siphelele Dunywa announced plans to pursue solo music alongside their work as Blaq Diamond.

Blaq Diamond, formed in 2010 when Ndumiso Mdletshe (Ndu Browns) and Dunywa met, has been celebrated for hits blending Afro-soul and contemporary African sounds. uBuhleBakho now showcases Ndu Browns’ artistic voice as he explores new creative ground outside the duo’s joint work.
