(In Uganda) Fred Nyanzi Faces Corruption Allegations Over NUP Nomination Slots

 

Fred Nyanzi, National Unity Platform’s National Mobiliser and brother to Bobi Wine, is facing serious allegations of corruption. 

He’s accused of demanding large sums of money in exchange for party nomination slots, particularly in the Kawempe North by-election. 

These claims have sparked outrage, as they appear to contradict NUP’s core values of integrity, transparency, and servant leadership.

The party has denied the allegations, labelling the screenshots as fake and politically motivated. 

Still, pressure is mounting on Nyanzi to step down and allow for an independent investigation.

Many Ugandans are now watching how the party handles this test of principle.
