Ramesh Viswashkumar's story is one of survival and resilience. As one of the few survivors of the tragic Kanchanjunga Express train accident near Ahmedabad. Out of 252 passengers, 251 perished, yet Ramesh, seated near the emergency exit, miraculously survived.
He recounted hearing a loud boom just after takeoff and managed to walk away from the wreckage, battered but alive.

Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British-Indian in his forties, was travelling with his brother on Air India Flight AI171. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff, killing nearly everyone onboard. Seated at 11A, Ramesh was next to the emergency exit and escaped through it.
He suffered injuries but remained conscious and mobile. Authorities confirmed he was the only passenger to survive, making headlines across India and the UK.
