Gen Z Revolution Day: Kenya’s Youth to Invoke Article 1 on June 25 for People’s Power

In Kenya, Article 1 of the Constitution is gaining massive attention as Gen Z activists and citizens gear up to symbolically reclaim their sovereign power on June 25, 2025. The article, which proclaims that all power resides with the people, is fueling a vibrant national movement rooted in youth-led resistance.

Seen as a bold stand against poor governance, this movement is a push for greater accountability and active civic engagement. Dubbed “Gen Z Revolution Day,” it marks the first anniversary of the 2024 anti-Finance Bill protests, a pivotal moment in Kenya’s fight for justice.
