Balochistan is gaining significant attention in the United Kingdom because a devastating blast struck a school bus in Khuzdar, killing at least six people, including four children.
The vehicle, belonging to the Army Public School, was attacked during its morning route.
Over 38 people were wounded. Initial reports describe it as a vehicle-borne IED.
Authorities are investigating, with suspicions pointing to Indian-backed militants, though no group has claimed responsibility yet.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated that 46 students were on board when the explosion occurred, and the critically injured were being flown to Quetta.
The Pakistani military condemned the attack, accusing Indian proxies without presenting evidence. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed these claims while expressing condolences. Balochistan has long been plagued by separatist violence, and the BLA, often blamed for such attacks, remains a major concern
