Hyena Escapes Wildlife Park in Jos

 The management of the Plateau State Tourism Corporation, PSTC, has announced the disappearance of a hyena that escaped its enclosure at the Jos Wildlife Park. The announcement of the missing hyena was made public on Monday 8th July 2024 with the management imploring the public to be vigilant and cautious while also being of potential assistance in finding the escaped animal.

The Jos wildlife Park which is known as one of Plateau’s topmost tourist attractions and a place in Nigeria where nature has been conserved, in the press statement providing assurance of a thorough search, revealed that the hyena is being tracked by their dedicated team of Game-guards and Park-rangers with the assistance of drone technology. The PSTC management firmly urged the public to avoid a direct approach upon sighting of the escaped animal but to contact the park authorities with immediate effect. They also promised to keep the public updated as soon as the situation of the missing hyena is resolved.
