Abducted Fouani MD Regains Freedom

 Lebanese Billionaire, Mohammed Fouani and three other Fouani brothers, Abbas Fouani, Youssef Fouani, and Amtal Fouani, who run Fouani Nigeria Ltd(a leading distributor of electronic brands), have regained their freedom after they were abducted on Friday 14 June at about  6:00pm while they had been travelling by boat from Apapa to Victoria Island. According to sources the kidnappers had demanded a random of $1.5 million dollars to secure the release of the abducted entrepreneurs.

Public Relations Officer of The Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundenyin, confirmed the rescue of the kidnapped brothers. He stated that they were rescued around Orugbo Iddo on the night of Monday 17 June at about 11:00pm and have been reunited with their families. The police PRO did not however provide details on the rescue operation was carried out nor did he mention if there had indeed been  ransom demand of $1.5 million or a payment of the stated sum. SP Benjamin Hundenyin credited the Marine Police and the Nigerian Navy for the rescue operation of the brothers.
