Follow the lengthy post put up on social media regarding the break up of his 20 year old marriage by comedian, actor and filmmaker, Ayo Makun better known as A.Y, his soon-to-be ex-wife, Mabel, has confirmed her husband's news of their divorce. Expressing gratitude for the supportive messages she received, Mabel however stated that her silence over the events leading to her divorce should not be misunderstood. She also emphasized that the father of her children (A.Y.) deserves a certain level of respect and privacy from her and all concerned parties.

Stating that many lies had been peddled against her, Mabel Makun declared that she chose to honour her children with silence by ignoring the lies and attacks orchestrated on social media. Ayo and Mabel Makun who celebrated their 20th anniversary in November 2023, have been married since November 2008 and have two daughters together. Mabel is an interior designer and entrepreneur, she's also the CEO of Midas Interiors limited.
