Butcher Arrested for Stabbing Wife to Death

 A 33 year old butcher named Ibrahim Abubakar, has been arrested by operatives of The Adamawa State Police for the murder of his 25 year old wife, Hajara Sa'adu. According to a press statement released on Tuesday 9th April, by the Adamawa state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, Ibrahim Abubakar had on Monday 8th April 2024 at an estimated time of 4:30a.m, murdered his wife by inflicting several stab wounds on her back with a sharp knife, leaving her to die in a pool of her own blood.

 The butcher and his wife had until the time of the murder, resided in Sabon Gari-Futy, located in the  Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa state. Upon his arrest, Ibrahim Abubakar voluntarily provided a confessional statement in which claimed to have regretted killing the mother of his only child. The murder had occurred in the middle of a heated argument between the couple when the now arrested Ibrahim had accused his wife of hiding his mobile phone. Police investigation led to the discovery of the murder weapon used on Hajara Sa'adu by her husband.
