"We Did not Spend 927 Million Naira On the Governor's Food " Abia State Denies Accusation

 Following public displeasure at the release of the Abia State Government's third quarter expenditure where Governor Alex Otti was accused of having consumed a food budget worth more than nine hundred million naira, the government of the state has publicly denied the accusation. The government of Abia state declared that the quoted sum for meals and refreshment was not solely spent by the governor.

The Abia State Government insists that the quoted sum for refreshment was collectively spent the entire 76 Ministries and Departments in the state.  The Abia State Government further clarified the figure covers expense for special events, such as retreats, conferences, and related governmental functions. While labelling the circulating figure as "mischievously twisted by opponents"at a conference which held in the state capital, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr Kingsley Anosike; his Information Aide, Prince Okey Kanu; and the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kazie Uko, affirmed the administration of governor Alex Otti has thus far been judicious in managing the state's income and resources.
