Following repeated speculations and unconfirmed reports on social media, singer and songwriter David Adeleke better known as Davido and his wife Chioma have welcomed a pair of twins. In a video making the rounds on social media, the happy parents were seen leaving a hospital reported to be located in Atlanta Georgia, USA with Chioma holding two little bundles. On 31st October 2022, Davido and Chioma suffered the tragic loss of their 3 year old son(Chioma's only child)in a drowning accident which occurred at the couple's Banana Island home. Hence the news of the new birth garnering joy from all fans and well-wishers of the couple.

Chioma Rowland and Davido started a romantic relationship as undergrads at Babcock University, although Chioma who was at the time studying to acquire a degree in Economics, dropped out in her third year. One of Davido's most popular songs titled "Assurance" was dedicated to Chioma.
