Undergraduate Commits Suicide After Yahoo Scam

 A 20 year old student of The University of Ilorin identified as Hameedat Sanni has reportedly committee suicide after she fell victim to internet fraudsters. According to reports, the 20 year had lent the sum of 500,000 naira to her Snapchat boyfriend who claimed his mother had been suffering from cancer. Further reports state that the 500,000 she loaned her mysterious Snapchat boyfriend belonged to her mother who had given to her(Hameedat) for safekeeping. Her Snapchat boyfriend had originally requested of 1 million naira but Hameedat could only provide half the sum. The mystery boyfriend had gone on to block the 20 year old on all social media platforms after she requested that the "loan" be repaid.

Unable to recover her mother's money from her mystery Snapchat boyfriend, now deceased student had resorted to taking loans from online money lending apps that had in turn, harassed her when she was unable to meet the promised repayment deadline. The pressure and embarrassment reportedly caused Hameedat to commit suicide by drinking a bottle of the popular insecticide, Sniper. All efforts by her roommates to save Hameedat proved abortive and she was rushed to the university's teaching hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. 

There's yet no official press release from the university's management confirming or debunking this unfortunate incident.
