Quick action by Israeli soldiers, armed civilians, and even a recently licensed Haredi yeshiva student helped neutralize both gunmen at the scene, preventing further casualties. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the site, condemning the attack as part of an ongoing war against terrorism and vowing to pursue accomplices.
At least seven victims remain in critical condition from gunshot wounds, while others suffered moderate or light injuries from glass shards. This incident marks one of the deadliest assaults in Jerusalem in recent months, amid heightened tensions in the region, with Hamas praising the attack but not claiming responsibility. International leaders, including European officials, have condemned the violence and called for an end to the cycle of terror.
