What happens to your liver when you consume soybeans?

 


1. Supports Liver Health 

Soy protein and isoflavones (plant compounds in soy) may help reduce fat buildup in the liver. Studies suggest that soy can improve non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) by lowering triglycerides, cholesterol, and overall liver fat.


2. Helps Regulate Metabolism 

Soy protein has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce oxidative stress, both of which are beneficial for liver function since the liver is central to blood sugar and fat metabolism.


3. Protects Against Inflammation 

Isoflavones in soy have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which may protect liver cells from damage and fibrosis (scarring).
