Kenya Unveils BETA Achievements Scorecard Showcasing Three Years of Ruto’s Economic Transformation Agenda

 

Kenya is abuzz with discussions around the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) as the government unveils its three-year scorecard under President William Ruto. The initiative has delivered significant strides in education, health, housing, food security, and the digital economy, earning widespread attention on social media and beyond.

Key highlights include the recruitment of teachers, construction of new classrooms, expanded Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) enrollment, increased Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) funding, and the establishment of the Open University, equipping learners with skills for the future. University funding has surged from 45 billion to 82 billion shillings, driving research and enhancing learning quality.

Kenyans are also celebrating broader BETA successes, such as affordable fertilizer boosting maize harvests, progress in affordable housing, expanded healthcare access, and support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the Hustler Fund.
