3 doctors that lost their license to complicated death.

1. Christopher Duntsch ("Dr. Death")

A Texas neurosurgeon infamous for causing serious injury to 33 of his 38 patients, resulting in two deaths. Despite numerous complaints, he continued to work until the Texas Medical Board revoked his license in 2013. Duntsch was later convicted in 2017 and sentenced to life in prison for criminal malpractice.

2. John Ronald Brown

Operating without formal surgical credentials, Brown performed gender-affirming surgeries in non-clinical settings (e.g., motels, garages). Following a patient's death and a lawsuit, California revoked his license in 1977 for "gross negligence, incompetence and practicing unprofessional medicine in a manner which involved moral turpitude." He was subsequently barred from practicing elsewhere.

3. Dr. Thomas J. Shaknovsky (Florida)

A Florida osteopathic physician whose license was suspended after accidentally removing a patient's liver instead of the spleen, resulting in the patient’s death. The case involved repeated surgical errors and attempts to falsify records, prompting the Florida Surgeon General to step in to protect public safety.
