The 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) is making headlines across Uganda and Kenya following an action-packed start to the tournament.
Tanzania opened the competition with a solid 2–0 victory over Burkina Faso yesterday, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting championship. The momentum carried into today as host nation Kenya secured a historic 1–0 win over DR Congo their first-ever victory at a CHAN finals.

This year’s CHAN is unique, as it’s the first edition to be co-hosted by three countries: Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The tournament features 19 national teams, each made up exclusively of players active in their domestic leagues.
