Manchester City have signed a massive new kit deal with German sportswear company Puma that will run for at least ten more years, until 2035. The deal is reportedly worth a minimum of £1 billion, making it the most valuable kit contract in the history of the Premier League. The new agreement will bring in around £100 million per year for City, surpassing the £90 million-a-year deal that Manchester United signed with Adidas in 2023.
The original agreement between Manchester City and Puma began in 2019 and was valued at £65 million per season. Since then, the partnership has seen great success, both commercially and on the pitch. City have won four Premier League titles in that time and also completed a historic Treble two years ago. Even though the club did not win a major trophy last season, their global reach and influence continue to grow.

This deal underlines how valuable the Manchester City brand has become. The club recently reported a Premier League record revenue of £715 million for the year ending in June 2024. Of this, commercial income accounted for more than £344 million, reflecting the strength of City’s business operations.
Ferran Soriano, CEO of the City Football Group, praised the relationship with Puma, saying that the two companies set out to exceed expectations and have achieved even more than they hoped. Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld added that their partnership has been successful both on and off the field, noting City’s trophies and global fan engagement as key achievements.
Manchester City’s renewed agreement with Puma is not just about football shirts—it is a reflection of the club’s massive global brand power. The new £1 billion deal puts City at the top of the Premier League in terms of kit sponsorship, outpacing historic rivals such as Manchester United and Liverpool. United's £90 million per year deal with Adidas and Liverpool’s £60 million agreement pale in comparison to City's new £100 million annual earnings from Puma.
The partnership has been described as more than just a sponsorship deal. Puma has integrated deeply into Manchester City’s operations, working closely with the club’s marketing and branding teams. This collaboration has led to record merchandise sales across the globe, boosting City’s visibility in key markets such as Asia and the United States.
City’s rising commercial profile is a big reason behind their record revenue figures. In their financial report up to June 2024, the club posted £715 million in total revenue—more than any other Premier League club in history. Commercial income, including sponsorships and merchandise, climbed to nearly £345 million.
The Puma deal is also important for City’s parent company, City Football Group, which owns clubs in multiple countries. The partnership with Puma extends to other CFG clubs, creating a unified brand identity and expanding Puma’s presence in international football.
The announcement sends a clear message about Manchester City's ambitions, both on and off the pitch. As other clubs work to grow their global brand, City are setting the pace with record-breaking deals and consistent commercial success.
