(In Uganda) Buganda Kingdom Celebrates Kabaka Mutebi II’s Leadership and Unity as 32nd Reign Anniversary Nears

 

On July 17, 2025, at 10:04 AM WAT, Uganda’s Buganda Kingdom was the focus of widespread admiration as Minister Joseph Kawuki lauded the steadfast loyalty and voluntary contributions of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II’s subjects, which he described as the bedrock of the Kingdom’s remarkable growth.

 Speaking at Bulange, Mengo, during a significant visit, Kawuki highlighted the impactful community-driven initiatives, such as the Kabaka’s birthday run and the Emmwanyi Terimba campaign, which have fostered development and unity. 

He urged continued participation as the Kingdom prepares to celebrate 32 years of the Kabaka’s transformative reign. Kawuki also called on chiefs to remain impartial amid political tensions, encouraging them to guide citizens toward electing leaders who uphold Buganda’s rich cultural heritage. 

The event saw Busoga County and Buikwe Sub-county chiefs contribute over shs 11 million to support Kingdom initiatives, underscoring grassroots commitment. Local leaders shared updates on enhanced service delivery and strategic development partnerships, reflecting Buganda’s socio-economic progress. 

The gathering highlighted the Kingdom’s enduring unity, cultural strength, and the collective dedication of its people, which continue to drive a vibrant revival under Kabaka Mutebi II’s visionary leadership.
