Ghana's NPP: Over 60 MPs Declare Support for Dr. Bawumia's 2028 Presidential Bid

 


Over 60 Members of Parliament from Ghana's ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have thrown their weight behind former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, declaring their support for his anticipated bid to lead the party in the 2028 general elections.

The former vice president, who lost the 2024 presidential election to incumbent president John Dramani Mahama, described the gathering of The Members of Parliament as a show of "commitment and solidarity" from these politicians.
