(In Nigeria): X user Ibukun Sparks Controversy over how she showed Appreciation.

T for Thanks is Sparking controversy in Nigeria because a viral post by X user Ibukun showed a Gen Z lady asking for ₦15k to complete a ₦27k pharmacy bill.

Out of kindness, he sent it.

Her reply? Just “T.” Puzzled, Ibukun asked what that meant.

She said “T, for Thanks,” leaving him heartbroken.

Now Nigerians online are debating whether the response was rude or simply Gen Z lingo.

Some believe “T” is too casual for such a generous gesture, and they’d even spend ₦100k on legal means to reverse the transfer.

Others defend the girl, saying “T” is normal and sufficient gratitude. A few even joked he should be grateful she didn’t say “K” or just “Smiles.”

The drama continues with people creating acronyms like B for borrow, L for lend, and S for “Send it to my Opay now now.”
