According to Oshiomhole, the people of Edo State have spoken, and their decision represents the will of the people . He also criticized Obaseki's "do-or-die" comments, suggesting that the governor's approach was misguided .

“You have Obaseki, I watched him on Channels insisting it was do-or-die. And when you asked him,  he said, if they did, then they would be dead. Now the people have done it. I guest he is politically dead".

“The people have decided that Monday who was elected last year as a senator, has been elected; and now has been declared the governor-elect.

During the interview, Oshiomole said "...I'm not disturbed. I'm rather excited that the will of the people has prevailed. The people of Edo State have spoken, and their voices have been heard loud and clear.

When asked about the controversy surrounding the election results, Oshiomhole stated:

"Democracy is about the people, and the people have made their choice. Those who are crying foul are doing so because they didn't get their way.

Regarding the opposition's claims of irregularities, Oshiomhole responded:

"If they have evidence, they should take it to the tribunal. That's what the electoral process provides for.

On the PDP's rejection of the results, Oshiomhole said:

"That's their prerogative. But the people of Edo State know what they want, and they've chosen Monday Okpebholo as their governor".

Oshiomhole's statements reflect his confidence in the election outcome and his support for the declared winner, Monday Okpebholo.

Key points:

1. Oshiomhole sees the election outcome as reflecting the will of Edo people.

2. He's unconcerned by opposition criticism.

3. Encourages dissenting voices to seek redress through electoral tribunals.

“If you have signed millions of MoUs, brought all manner of consultants, even though you are one of the consultants anyways. The hospital that was built by Governor Oshiomhole you converted it to a private hospital. You ran it by consultants and only the rich can go there. The poor have been forbidden from going there. You demolished the other side of the hospital and replaced it with a museum. You think the poor are stupid?”

It's worth noting that Obaseki and Oshiomhole have had a complex relationship in the past, with periods of both cooperation and conflict . However, Oshiomhole's latest statement suggests that he views Obaseki's political career as being at an end .
