Celine Dion Gives First Public Appearance In Four Years

 Canadian singer and songwriter Céline Dion, has after a four year hiatus, given a public performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris on Friday 27 July. The appearance marked her first live performance in four years, following her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.

 56 year old Celine Dion gave a powerful rendition of Edith Piaf’s timeless classic “Hymne à l’amour” (1950) on a stage at the iconic Eiffel Tower, bringing the ceremony to a close. She also reportedly earned a performance fee of 2 million dollars. American rapper, Snoop Doggy, was also one of the musicians that performed at the colourful opening ceremony where the participants from different countries were aboard different and colourful boats of different shapes and sizes on River Sine.
