Maitama General Hospital Accused of Medical Negligence;Victim Dies

 The Maitama General Hospital located in Abuja has been publicly accused of medical negligence following its refusal to offer medical care to a victim of "one chance" kidnappers. According to reports, the victim, a HR practitioner identified as Greatness Olorunfemi had been rushed to the hospital after she was pushed out of a moving vehicle at the Maitama-Kubwa expressway by "one chance" kidnappers.  

Ms Olorunfemi was rushed to the emergency ward of The Maitama General Hospital but was refused entry by the hospital workers and was left bleeding death right outside the hospital. The hospital management insisted that the good Samaritans who rushed the victim to the hospital obtain a police report before treatment could commence. The delay led to Ms Greatness Olorunfemi's untimely death outside the doors of the hospital.

Tweets surrounding the unfortunate circumstances of Ms Olorunfemi's death have gained the attention of the Abuja Police and police officers have assured that investigation will be carried out in order to bring the perpetrators to book as well as determine the reason for The Maitama General Hospital's decision to contravene the law by rejecting an accident victim by demanding a "police report".
