"You're a Lesbian but you Collected Semen" Netizens Drag Professor Uju Anya

 Nigerian-American professor, researcher and social commentator, Dr Uju Anya, has been trolled by netizens after she made a post on social media stating that Nigerian men come running to ask who impregnated her, each time she tweets about her children. Uju Anya who is an open lesbian has been labelled "a hypocrite" by aggrieved Nigerian men. They have expressed anger and disappointment at Uju Anya for only remembering lesbianism after "collecting semen". The disgruntled "semen donors" further engaged in a battle of words with the academic. In turn, Uju Anya in replying a tweet about her skincare routine stated that she moisturizes with the tears of Nigerian homophobes.

Dr Uju Anya is a professor at the Carnegie Mellon University, Department of Modern Languages. In 2021, the Nigerian born lecturer who had legally separated from her husband in 2017, announced on Twitter that she had just finalized her divorce with her husband and openly revealed that she was a lesbian. In a statement released on Twitter, the Professor wrote that her ex-husband had been aware of her sexuality before they got married, but she had thought at the time that she was bisexual. Uju Anya first gained the attention of Nigerian netizens as a result of the global outrage she sparked after she took to her verified Twitter handle to mock the late Queen Elizabeth II‘s health condition hours before her death.In a series of now-deleted tweets, the Professor fired several damning shots at the British monarchy and the role played by the late Queen Elizabeth II in the matter of African slavery and slave trade. Uju had tweeted that she hoped the Queen's  death would be "painfully excruciating.”
