63 Year Old Nasir El-Rufai Welcomes Baby Daughter with Youngest Wife

 63 year old governor of Kaduna state and former minister of the FCT, Nasir El-Rufai, has welcomed a baby daughter with his third and youngest wife, Hajiya Aisha Ummi Garba. The new addition to the family is the couple's fourth child together.The Governor’s sons, Bashir and Bello, shared photos from the ceremony which was held to welcome the newest addition to their family, who has been named Fatima Layan El-Rufai. Many Nigerians have referred to the news of a new baby as a "parting gift" to the governor who is set to step down from the position in two weeks.

Nasir El-Rufai has served as governor of Kaduna State since 2015. He was minister of the Federal Capital Territory from 2003 to 2007; and the director of the Bureau of Public Enterprises. He is a founding member of the ruling All Progressives Congress. El-Rufai is married to three wives, his first wife Hadiza Isma El-Rufai is a writer and novelist; she runs the Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation (YELF), set up in honour of their daughter who died in 2011. Nasir El-Rufai reportedly has about 12 children in total.
