The All Progressives Congress has put pressure on the DSS to arrest pastor and founder of Dunamis International Gospel Center, Dr Paul Enenche. The All Progressives Congress in a press conference on Monday 27th February 2023, alleged that pastor Paul Enenche desecrated the altar through his "hate speech". Alongside clamouring the arrest of pastor Paul Enenche, the APC also called for arrests of former senator Dino Melaye and magazine publisher Dele Momodu on similar grounds of "hate speech".
While speaking to the members of his congregation on Sunday 26th February 2023, one day after Nigeria's presidential election, pastor Paul Enenche who is a supporter of the Labour Party's presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi, had decried the manner in which the election was conducted. He had also given what he termed a "word of caution" to the members of his congregation where he stated that Nigerians witnessed all manner of stressful and challenging elections as well as a vote casting process under very difficult conditions.
Pastor Paul Enenche also heavily lampooned the APC by referring to the party members and its loyalists as "primordial, medieval, outdated, primitive obsolescent, outdated entities who belong only to history and not to the moment." All of these derogatory terms prompted the All Progressives Congress to accuse the general overseer of "hate speech" against the party.
