Nollywood actor, Femi Ogunronmbi is dead. The veteran actor was most popular as "papa Ajasco" as a result of his role in the Wale Adenuga Productions sitcom titled "Papa Ajasco and Company". Femi Ogunronmbi was a "stand-in actor" for the role of Papa Ajasco after the temporary departure of "original Ajasco" Richard Abiodun Olayinka from the sitcom. In the early to mid 2000s, Papa Ajasco was widely considered Nigeria’s most watched comedy series, viewed weekly in 12 African countries.

The news of Femi Ogunronmbi's demise was disclosed on social media by writer and theatre practitioner, Shaibu Husseini, on Saturday 14, January, 2022. Nigerian producer Femi Ogunrombi served as director of National Troupe of Nigeria for over ten years. He was also Director of Studies at the Pencil Film and Television Institute(PEFTI) Lagos, which is also owned by Wale Adenuga Productions. The exact cause of "Papa Ajasco's" death is currently unknown. May his soul rest in peace.
