Pregnant Woman Delivers Baby On Board Turkish Airline Flight

 A pregnant Nigerian woman identified as Ifeoma Nweke, delivered a baby while on board a Manchester bound Turkish Airline Flight. on 6 September, 2022. The pregnant woman who went into labour midway through the flight was assisted with the delivery process by a co-passenger doctor and members of the cabin crew. Apparently, all cabin crew members are trained to render such emergency assistance. The pregnant woman successfully gave birth to a baby girl, according to reports by the national flag carrier.

The flight which departed Istanbul Havalimani for Manchester United Kingdom, was diverted to Vienna International Airport, where paramedics waited for the new mother and baby upon landing. Ifeoma was on board the flight with her husband. The mother and child were met by paramedics immediately after landing and were thereafter taken to the hospital.
