Jeff Bezos' Ex-wife Files For Divorce From New Teacher Husband

 Mackenzie Scott, ex-wife of  billionaire Jeff Bezos has filed for divorce from her new teacher husband in less than two years of marriage. Mackenzie Scott married Seattle-based science teacher Dan Jewett in 2021 after her divorce from Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos in 2019. The marriage was revealed in Jewett's Giving Pledge letter posted on March 6, 2021. 

Mackenzie Scott was awarded a 4% stake in Amazon which was worth 36 billion dollars at the time of divorce. She is currently the third wealthiest woman in the United States and the 21st-wealthiest individual in the world. Mackenzie Scott was named one of the world's most powerful women by Forbes in 2021, and one of Time's 100 Most Influential People of 2020.

Before filing for divorce from her new husband Dan Jewett, Mackenzie had recently removed all mention of him from all of her official websites. According to the divorce petition, a division of property will be 'laid out in a separation contract' that Scott and Jewett agree upon. The contract is not public. Jewett did not contest the divorce, court records reveal.
