Tinubu and APC Deny Hiring Agbado Bishops

Following the drama of the hired Agbado Bishops that ensued at the unveiling of the APC's vice-presidential running mate, Kashim Shettima on Wednesday July 21, 2022, the APC alongside its presidential aspirant Bola Ahmed Tinubu has vehemently denied the accusation of hired Bishops levelled against them by Nigerians.

In a press release given by Bayo Onanuga, Media and Communication Director of the Tinubu Campaign Organisation,(TCO) the director described yesterday's saga as "unwanted distractions"  Mr Onanuga also stated that:

 "The event was an open affair, which allowed members of the public to attend, including the clergymen and some others now being derided by hirelings of the opposition.

They are church leaders who genuinely believe that Nigerians must eschew politics of hatred and religious bigotry and rather embrace politics of peace and nation building.

We therefore deplore the hysterical twisting of the presence of these men and women in cassocks and the false accusation against our candidates, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Shettima."

Mr Onanuga further declared that despite the orchestrated distractions, huge success was recorded at the Unveiling of Kashim Shettima as vice-presidential running mate which took place at the Yar'Adua Villa, Aso Rock on Wednesday 20 July, 2022. He assured Nigerians that the APC and the Tinubu Campaign Organisation were working tirelessly to bring the agents of distraction to book.
