"Strike Can End Tomorrow." ASUU president assures Nigerians

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has informed worried Nigerians that the strike action can come to an end immediately, “If the government wishes”

But why is it the wish of government to see student wail? Why is the wish of the government to prolong students time in school? Where did Nigerian student wrong Buhari’s government to deserve this kind of treatment? And the ultimate question; if the children of politicians also school in Nigeria, will these be happening? These are the many questions and wailing of Nigerians.

Someone said, in an election year, ASUU is on strike and APC is still campaigning to stay in Aso Rock.

Well, ASUU president Professor Emmanuel Osedeke has implored Nigerians to tell the government to answer the two important questions being posed by the union.
Professor Osedeke in an update given to Channels Television on 4th July, 2022 insisted that negotiations had long ended and the strike could be immediately suspended if only the government would answer these questions:
When will they sign the agreement?

When will they accept University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS)

In his words, "As far as ASUU is concerned, the strike can end tomorrow."

It is our fervent hope that the government and the union will reach a favourable compromise soon.
