The controversy generated over the Supreme Court ruling on the legality of using Hijab led a human rights activist, Malcolm Omihrhobo to adorn a native doctor attire to court, as a way of saying what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
But his action was met with resistance as Justice Tijani Ringim of a Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday denied hearing of two cases brought forward by the lawyer due to his outfit.

Omirhrobo while appearing before the judge, argued that court rules cannot supersede his fundamental rights as stated in Nigeria's constitution and recently pronounced by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
His position however generated opposition by lawyers on the other side of the case, who are of the opinion that he was not properly dressed as a legal counsel.
Justice Ringim while reacting to the human rights lawyer's argument directed him to tell the court why he should be heard the way he was dressed on the next adjourned date.
The presiding judge adjourned the case to October 10, 2022.
