Salvation Ministeries Pastor, David Ibiyeomie Tells Nigerians Who They Must Vote

The head pastor of the Salvation Ministeries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie has waded into the 2023 general elections. The pastor who has in the past been criticized for his silence on the underperforming administration of the President Muhammadu Buhari, stated that Nigerians do not often listen to him.

He emphasized that the 2023 general elections are opportunities for Nigerians to determine the direction of the country and  that Nigerians should look beyond fulltime  politicians. He said, visionary political aspirants should be elected based on their personal attributes at the expense of political party affiliation.

He further warned that Nigerians should withstand the temptation of selling their votes to politicians who are desperate for political positions. According to him, such category of people will further dwindle the fortune of the country through their inept leadership.

According to him: ‘IF YOU TAKE MONEY TO VOTE THEN YOU HAVE SOLD YOUR CONSCIENCE, WHEN WE ARE SHOUTING, YOU PEOPLE WILL SAY I DON’T SHOUT. I AM SHOUTING NOW. DON’T COLLECT BRIBE TO VOTE. VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE.

"DON’T VOTE PARTY AGAIN IN NIGERIA, VOTE SOMEONE WHO HAS A VISION. NIGERIA IS IN WOODS, SHE NEEDS SOMEONE WHO HAS A VISION. NO POLITICIAN SHOULD BE VOTED, VOTE A STATESMAN INSTEAD. A STATESMAN THINKS OF THE NEXT GENERATION, A POLITICIAN THINKS ONLY OF THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS.”
