Anambra State has of late been a hotbed in deadly attacks by unknown gunmen and the last one was the murder of an Anambra lawmaker whose head was severed. In spite of Governor Soludo’s offer of amnesty to gunmen terrorising the state, the attack has not subsided in the state.

The Eastern Security Network (ESN), the military wing of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been fingered as being responsible for the attacks in the state but the secessionist has denied having any hand in the violence.
