Anxiety: Like TB Joshua, Bishop David Oyedepo Speaks About His Death, Warns His Members Sternly

 

The bishop of the Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo in his sermon on Sunday, 16th of January, 2022, and at the church's headquarters in Ota, Ogun state, spoke about his death.

In his sermon, he urged the members of the church not to immortalize him when he has died by renaming the church after him. According to him, the church is of God and not of him; hence, should remain within the structure of God when he has passed on.

"After I go at a very ripe old age which I know God has the plan for me, let no man here name anything here after me because the owner never dies.

“Don’t try it, it’s not God’s will it’s not God’s plan.

“People die before they share their will in any term but this man never dies. So who will now give you the will to read?

“Lawyers, do you read the will when the man is still alive?

“You can’t divide anybody goods till after his death and Jesus the owner of the church ever liveth. So where will you divide his will? That time won’t come”.

Recall that popular Nigerian televangelist, apostle Temitope Balogun Joshua had issued similar warning to his members during a sermon. TB Joshua as popularly known, would later die a few days after he preached about his death.
