Signs you might be drinking too much water

Frequent urination – Needing to use the bathroom unusually often, especially at night, may indicate you’re consuming more water than your body needs.

Clear urine all the time – While clear urine occasionally is fine, if it’s always completely clear, it could mean you’re flushing out electrolytes along with excess water.

Swelling in hands, feet, or lips – Excess water can cause cells to swell, leading to puffiness or bloating in the body.

Headaches – Drinking too much can lower sodium levels in the blood (hyponatremia), which can cause headaches similar to dehydration headaches.

Nausea and vomiting – Overhydration can upset your stomach and make you feel sick.

Fatigue or confusion – Low sodium levels from overhydration may affect brain function, leading to tiredness, dizziness, or difficulty concentrating.

Cramps and muscle weakness – An imbalance of electrolytes due to too much water may cause muscle problems.
