Should you drink apple cider vinegar every day?

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is one of those things people often swear by, but it’s a bit more complicated than the “everyday miracle” some make it sound like.

Some studies suggest that small amounts of ACV may help with things like blood sugar control, mild weight management, and digestion. It contains acetic acid, which can improve insulin sensitivity after meals and may help you feel fuller. A teaspoon or two diluted in water before meals is usually the way people use it.

On the flip side, daily consumption, especially in high amounts or undiluted, can cause issues. Its acidity can erode tooth enamel, irritate your throat, upset your stomach, or lower potassium levels if you overdo it. It can also interfere with certain medications like diuretics, laxatives, or drugs for diabetes and heart conditions.
