Central to the visit is the commissioning of the $23.8 million Aga Khan University in Nakawa and the groundbreaking of the Aga Khan Teaching Hospital. President Museveni praised these initiatives as milestones in Uganda’s healthcare and education sectors, while also reaffirming government support through land allocation and investor-protection legislation.

The Aga Khan highlighted AKDN’s focus on education, healthcare, and sustainable development, aligning with Uganda’s broader goals of private-sector growth and socio-economic transformation. The visit is seen as a step toward deepening cooperation and expanding impact for generations to come.
