Nollywood actress Wunmi Toriola has clapped back at filmmaker Afeez Owo, husband of actress Mide Martins, after he claimed on a podcast that her tough-girl movie roles reflect her real-life personality.

According to Afeez, Wunmi “won’t talk until you look for her trouble,” a remark she dismissed as pure nonsense.

During the podcast, Afeez drew comparisons between his wife and Wunmi, insisting that while Mide Martins only plays troublesome characters on screen but is calm and drama-free off camera, Wunmi’s on-screen toughness mirrors her reality.

Wunmi wasn’t impressed. While stressing that she respects Afeez, she questioned why he would publicly throw shade at her, making it clear she would not let the comments slide.
