Alabi Adedeji, the Deputy Director of Sergeant At Arms at Nigeria’s National Assembly, is making waves across the country for his role in unsealing the office of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. The senator’s office, located in Suite 2.05 of the Senate Wing, was sealed on March 6, 2025, following a six-month suspension imposed by the Senate. 

The suspension stemmed from allegations of misconduct leveled against her by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.Although Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension officially ended in September 2025, she faced delays in resuming her duties due to ongoing legal battles and resistance from the Senate leadership. Adedeji’s bold move to unseal her office has thrust him into the spotlight, igniting discussions nationwide about the senator’s reinstatement and the dynamics within the National Assembly.
