Transfer deadline day is reaching full swing, and some blockbuster deals are taking shape. Liverpool have made the biggest splash, agreeing a British record £125 million fee to sign striker Alexander Isak. Meanwhile, Manchester United are finalising the £18.1 million signing of goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp, ending their pursuit of Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez. Aston Villa, however, are looking to strengthen their attack with a potential move for Jadon Sancho, who could be heading for a fresh start after struggling for regular football.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace are interested in Brighton defender Igor Julio. If the Eagles secure reinforcements, their captain Marc Guehi is expected to join Liverpool, adding more intrigue to Jurgen Klopp’s reshaping of his defence. Newcastle United have also been busy, reopening talks for Brentford striker Yoane Wissa this morning. By lunchtime, a £55 million agreement was reached, setting up a major attacking signing for the Magpies.
Brentford, anticipating Wissa’s exit, have moved quickly to strengthen their squad. They are in talks to sign Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson on loan as they look to maintain their attacking threat. Meanwhile, Manchester City are working on a surprise move, with advanced negotiations underway for Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. If that goes through, Ederson will leave the Etihad for Turkish giants Fenerbahce in a £12 million switch.
Chelsea could also be waving goodbye to one of their strikers, with Nicolas Jackson expected to join Bayern Munich before the window shuts. That would see the Bundesliga champions secure more depth up front as they chase both domestic and European honours.
With hours still left on the clock, clubs across Europe are rushing to finalise last-minute deals that could shape their seasons. More twists and unexpected moves are almost certain to follow as fans count down to the deadline.
