Boniface Omondi’s Brace Powers KCB FC to 2-0 Win Over Tusker in FKF Premier League Opener


Kenyan winger Boniface Omondi, nicknamed “Bajaj,” electrified fans with a stunning performance, scoring twice to lead KCB FC to a 2-0 victory against Tusker FC in the opening match of the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, on September 19, 2025. 

The former Gor Mahia star, who joined KCB in the off-season, made an immediate impact under new coach Robert Matano. Omondi opened the scoring in the 19th minute, heading in a pinpoint cross from December Kisakah, and doubled the lead in the 39th minute by tapping in a rebound after a teammate’s shot hit the post. Tusker’s Erick Kapaito missed a crucial second-half penalty, sealing KCB’s dominant start. Omondi’s brace has positioned him as a pivotal player for KCB’s title ambitions, delighting supporters and setting a strong tone for the season
