Age you should quit beer to prevent Alzheimer's, according to expert

 


A neurologist, Richard Restak, has advised that people should consider giving up alcohol, including beer, by around age 65, and definitely no later than age 70, in order to lower the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. His reasoning is that alcohol can damage brain cells, impair memory, and increase the risk of dementia as people age, so quitting earlier helps protect long-term brain health.
