The nation of Uganda is in mourning following the passing of Garuga Musinguzi, a revered businessman, hotelier, and philanthropist, who died at Nakasero Hospital after a prolonged battle with cancer. Hailing from Kanungu District, the 72-year-old left an indelible mark on Uganda’s private sector and community development.
Musinguzi, the founder of Garuga Resorts, was a towering figure in promoting local investment in tourism, agriculture, and education. His commitment to economic empowerment and self-reliance earned him widespread admiration.
