Trump Relocates Obama and Bush Presidential Portraits to Hidden White House Stairwell

The move breaks long-standing tradition of prominently displaying recent presidents’ portraits. It follows an April 2025 reshuffle when Obama’s portrait in the Grand Foyer was replaced with a painting of Trump raising his fist after the 2024 assassination attempt.

Bush’s portrait was first placed beside his father’s before all three were relocated to the restricted area, greatly limiting their visibility to visitors.
