Tottenham Eye Move for Crystal Palace Star Eberechi Eze

Tottenham Hotspur are exploring a move for Crystal Palace and England forward Eberechi Eze as they look to strengthen their attacking options. Manager Thomas Frank is keen to add creativity and goals to the side following the loss of James Maddison, who is set to miss most of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Eze enjoyed an impressive 2023-24 campaign, scoring 14 goals in all competitions, including the decisive strike in Palace’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.

The 27-year-old made his England debut in 2023 and has since earned 11 caps, featuring three times at Euro 2024. Tottenham are also in discussions with Manchester City regarding Brazil winger Savinho, but sources suggest Eze has become a top target. It remains unclear whether Spurs will attempt to secure both players in the current window.

Arsenal are also understood to be interested in Eze but have not yet made a formal approach. The Gunners are currently focused on player sales, with Leandro Trossard, Reiss Nelson, and Fabio Vieira among those potentially leaving. Tottenham’s active interest in Eze could prompt Arsenal to accelerate their own pursuit if they view him as a key target.

Eze joined Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers in 2020 in a deal worth £19.5 million. Since then, he has scored 40 goals in 168 appearances and established himself as one of the Premier League’s most skillful attacking midfielders. His current contract runs until the summer of 2027, meaning Palace are in a strong position to demand a significant transfer fee.

With the transfer window still open, the competition for Eze’s signature could intensify in the coming weeks. Tottenham’s need for an attacking spark, combined with Arsenal’s interest and Palace’s desire to retain their star man, sets up a potential battle between two North London rivals for one of England’s most talented forwards.
