The tragic death of influencer Chase Filandro, age 20

 

Chase Filandro, a 20-year-old New York City–based influencer and multi-talented artist, tragically died by suicide on July 31, 2025. A junior at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Chase was celebrated for his vibrant creativity and magnetic charm. His artistry was boundless, he was a singer, musician, actor, painter, poet, and teacher, often blending his talents to inspire and connect with others. He fronted the indie rock band Just Add Water, performing across Long Island, and was also an active part of the acting school Take 2 Studio, where he was cherished for his energy and joy.



Outside of his artistic work, Chase had a deep love for travel, with a special fondness for exploring national parks. He often shared these adventures online, using his platforms to encourage others to find beauty in nature and embrace life’s experiences. His social media presence reflected not just his talent, but his warmth and inclusivity, making him a relatable and uplifting figure for many of his followers.
